BOTOX injections and dermal fillers are most commonly associated with non-surgical facial rejuvenation. However, there are a wide range of additional uses for these therapies, from vaginal rejuvenation to hyperhidrosis treatment.

What can BOTOX do for you?

Rejuvenate and plump the vagina

The vagina deflates over time, losing volume, fullness and laxity as you age. By injecting dermal fillers directly into the aging tissue, Dr. Reinblatt can plump the area, boost volume, add elasticity and minimize creases. The entire process should take about 30 minutes and your recovery will be minimal.

Relieve jaw pain associated with TMJ

Temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ) develops when the joint connecting the mandible and skull becomes inflamed. A major symptom of this disorder is jaw pain, which can interfere with chewing and eating. Strategically placed BOTOX injections can deliver pain relief by reducing clenching and stress in the area.

Enlarge small or asymmetrical nipples

This non-surgical procedure is ideal for patients who are concerned about the size, shape and location of the nipple and areola. By injecting Radiesse into the treatment area, Dr. Reinblatt can:

  • Enlarge the nipple
  • Increase symmetry
  • Improve proportions
  • Smooth an uneven texture
  • Reduce scars from a prior procedure

Radiesse is relatively long-lasting and can preserve your new nipple appearance for about one year, at which point you will require a maintenance visit.

Gummy smiles treatment with Botox

Does smiling reveal more of your gums and teeth than you are comfortable with? Botox can be injected between the upper lip and the nose to temporarily paralyze the muscles here, causing the lip to lift excessively or unnaturally when you smile. Within two or more days of your Botox injections, your results will be visible as a more youthful, contained, and aesthetic display of your affection, with results lasting as long as 3-4 months.

Treat severe sweating (hyperhidrosis)

Hyperhidrosis is known as severe and excessive sweating. The condition affects more than a million people in the U.S and can cause difficulty in social situations.

If your hyperhidrosis cannot be controlled with topical solutions and you are over 18 years of age, Dr. Reinblatt may recommend BOTOX. It can ease sweating for three to six months, at which point you will require a maintenance appointment.

Treat compensatory sweating after sympathectomy

Sympathectomy is a procedure that involves cutting the sympathetic nerve chain in the spine. It is a last resort surgery to treat hyperhidrosis, and it prevents the brain from sending sweat production signals to certain areas of the body.

One of the risks of this procedure is compensatory sweating in the back, buttocks, thighs and behind the knees. If this occurs, BOTOX will be injected directly into these locations to minimize sweating.

Lip flip with Botox

In a Botox lip flip, a few units of Botox are injected along the line of the upper lip muscle near the vermillion border and into your Cupid’s bow. These injections relax the lip muscles and cause an aesthetic lift in the upper lift. The part of your upper lip that is currently “hiding” inside your mouth will flip nicely upward and outward, giving it a fuller and more feminine appearance. The procedure can be done in 10-20 minutes.

Brow lift with Botox

Since muscles hold our eyebrows wherever they naturally sit, Botox injections can be used to make that location more aesthetically pleasing. Botox is injected into the muscles between the brows to relax them and allow the upper forehead muscles to pull back the eyebrows. The Botox Browlift will also reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles in the area that might otherwise require a surgical brow lift. Results of a Botox Browlift should last up to 6 months.

Your BOTOX injections: What to expect

When BOTOX is done for innovative treatments, many patients need their skin numbed beforehand with a topical anesthetic or ice. This is particularly true of sensitive areas, such as the labia, palms or soles of the feet.

Once your skin is numb, Dr. Reinblatt will use a thin needle to inject the BOTOX. The entire process will take about 10 to 15 minutes.

After your injections

  • You can resume your normal daily activities right away
  • Avoid rubbing the treatment area to prevent the spread of the toxin
  • Return to Dr. Reinblatt's office in 3 to 6 months for a follow-up appointment
