To perform this procedure, Dr. Reinblatt will create small incisions in the natural creases of your upper eyelids, ensuring that any scarring is hidden from view. Through those openings, she will make conservative changes to your tissue and underlying muscles to ensure a natural surgical outcome. Once the surgery is complete, she will close the incisions with fine sutures to minimize scarring.
Tighten and tone the lower eyelids
During lower eyelid surgery, Dr. Reinblatt will remove fatty deposits and restore firm skin above the cheek. The incision will be made inside the lower eyelid, which means there will be no visible scarring. Through that opening, she will remove the fatty deposits that are causing your heavy bags.
If you possess a small amount of excess or crepey skin, Dr. Reinblatt will perform a "pinch blepharoplasty" as well. Using special forceps, she will pinch the excess skin and remove it with a sharp scissor. For larger amounts of excess skin, she will excise the tissue surgically.
Most patients are extremely satisfied with their results and look younger than they did before undergoing their eyelid surgery. It is very likely you will experience better eye functionality, a reduction in skin irritation, and glasses may fit better.
